As January finally wrapped up last week, we are diving right into another month of hard work! As the story goes, we all have mapped out great goals for ourselves and our company in the start of a new year, but staying committed begins to become a challenge at times, we have all been there a time or two (or three).

We are here to help send motivation your way because let’s be honest, staying committed will be worth it! We get it- it is easy to start losing that motivation you had just a few weeks ago to achieve those goals. Work begins to get busy again, and tasks start piling up and you might lose your goal somewhere in the pile. But have no fear, there are easy steps to take to be sure you are working towards your goals everyday whether it is a personal work goal that you set, one that your team set, or the entire organization set for this year.

  1. Set realistic and SMART goals. This alone is one of the most important factors when you set a goal. Your goal should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-based. This helps you stay accountable and conscious about your goal!
  2. Devote time to your goals. It may not be every day, but at least once a week set aside time to measure your progress on your goal(s). Again, being intentionally mindful about your goals will make the commitment much easier.
  3. Finally, hold yourself and others accountable. Check-in with yourself, evaluate and adjust when needed to make sure you reach that goal! Be supportive of your team and their goals as well. Give support and receive support to help each other stay on track!
