Today’s carrot recommends making fitness and exercise fun, kind of like turning your chores into a game. We used to race each other to clean up our toys when I was a child. Each person would have to put a certain number of things away, and the competition made it seem like we were playing another game rather than cleaning.

You may have to get creative to turn healthful eating and exercise into a game, but there are plenty of ways to do it. You can challenge yourself, and make bets as to whether you can do something, like jogging ten miles without stopping, or not eating candy for a week. Having someone to challenge adds a healthy dose of competition and livens things up really quickly.

Or, you can really turn your exercise into a game with smartphone/tablet apps like Nexercise or Zombies, Run! And don’t forget about the Wii, with tons of exercise-focused games.
